We are looking for an energetic and proactive Administration and Grants Officer (Trainee) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our various operations while also serving as a support officer for our on-country programs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and grow in a multi-faceted role within a vibrant and passionate team. This role is specifically open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide administrative support across various operational areas of the organization.
2. Assist in the preparation, submission, and administration of grant proposals.
3. Maintain comprehensive records of all grants, including applications, approvals, timelines, and reporting requirements.
4. Act as a support officer for our on-country programs, including the iSupply AU Cultural Immersions.
5. Coordinate and schedule meetings, workshops, and events related to our on-country programs.
6. Liaise with stakeholders including community members, funding agencies, and program participants.
7. Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander individual.
2. A degree or diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field would be beneficial, but not essential.
3. Prior experience in an administrative role would be advantageous.
4. Familiarity with grant administration would be a plus, but training will be provided.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
7. Ability to work well in a team and independently.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. High level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
10. Interest in cultural immersion programs and a commitment to community engagement.
Working Conditions:
This position is based in Broome, Western Australia. Some travel may be required for on-country programs and interstate meetings.
